Samsung Launches Ultra-Portable N100 In India


Promises superior quality and mobility.

Samsung has launched the N100 netbook in India. Based on the dual core Intel Atom processor, this ultra-portable device weighing just 1.03 kg promises to provide users with computational capability and connectivity on-the-go like never before.
Samsung Mobile & IT, Country Head, Ranjit Yadav said, "The N100's design is based on our tremendously successful N150P Netbook, which has sold over 3 million units to date. The N100 Netbook demonstrates Samsung's continued innovation while delivering superior quality, mobility and satisfaction to our customers. The N100 continues our line of high-quality Netbooks and represents superb value for money".
Encased in an ultra-durable scratch-resistant Duracase casing, the N100 seems to be built to weather the rigours associated with mobility. It features a 10.1" LED display with a matte surface designed to enhance viewing even in broad daylight. Powered by a dual core Intel Atom N435 processor running at 1.33 GHz, with 1 GB DDR3 memory and a 250 GB hard drive running at 5,400 rpm, this netbook runs on the new MeeGo operating system which boots very fast and is light on resources. Users can also opt to go for DOS or Windows 7 operating system if they so desire. It comes with integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics, which along with the rest of the components, promises to reduce power consumption by up to 50 times. The N100 is powered by a 3 cell (40 W) battery.The icing on the cake is the incredibly low price at which the Samsung N100 is available - just Rs 12,290. Now you have one less reason not to buy a netbook.
